Seroquel XR® Tablets are a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), particularly in the treatment of those with severe and/or persistent depression. SEROQUEL XR® Tablets are indicated for use in adults as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for MDD and GAD including the treatment of those who have failed or declined in previous treatment regimens. The most common adverse events occurring in the 3-month period after the last dose of SEROQUEL XR® Tablets were nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness. In the 4-month period after the last dose of SEROQUEL XR® Tablets, approximately 10% of patients experienced the following adverse events:
Nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, and constipation
Headache, dizziness, weakness, and fatigue
Dizziness, drowsiness, and visual disturbances (e.g., blurred vision, double vision, sensitivity to light, or tinnitus) occurred in approximately 1% of patients treated with SEROQUEL XR® Tablets. The most common adverse events occurring in the 4-month period after the last dose of SEROQUEL XR® Tablets were nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and weakness. In the 4-month period after the last dose of SEROQUEL XR® Tablets, approximately 10% of patients experienced the following adverse events: nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and weakness. The most common adverse events occurring in the 3-month period after the last dose of SEROQUEL XR® Tablets were nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and weakness. A total of 708 patients were treated with SEROQUEL XR® Tablets, of which 597 patients (0.5%) experienced one or more adverse events during the study period. Headache, dizziness, and weakness were the most common adverse events occurring in the 3-month period after the last dose of SEROQUEL XR® Tablets. No other serious adverse events were reported. I have been taking Seroquel for several years. I have tried most of the drugs that I have used, but they have not worked for me. I was prescribed Seroquel 400 mg for chronic Bipolar Disorder. I took this drug for about ten years and I was given this medication for about six weeks. It worked for me and for a few months. I did not get any better with it and then after three months I started seeing a difference. I was told by my doctor to stop taking it and I was given another dose. I was told I would have to take this medication for six weeks. I started taking it again. I stopped taking it, and my symptoms were not improving. I was not able to sleep, my memory is not as good as it could be. I have been very frustrated with how long it took for me to feel better and am not sure if it will be a long term problem. I am not sure how long it will last, but I hope that it will be not long enough for me to have a full blown illness. I am not a pharmacist, so I can't help but think I am a pharmacist!

I take quetiapine in the morning, but every night when I wake up it is gone. It does not have an effect at night. I take it every night and have to try to get the drug back when I wake up. I have used it with some sleep medications, but it does not work. It is not an anti-depression drug. I do not know how well it works but I am going to try it.
I take Seroquel every night, and it works fine. I take it with a glass of water and I have no sleep issues. I have tried other sleeping tablets. The only thing that I have noticed is that it takes a long time for the body to get used to it. I do not want to be dependent on Seroquel for things that I do not want to be. I have not taken it since I started taking it, so I do not know if it will work with any other sleeping tablets I might be taking. I will ask my doctor or pharmacist. I have been taking Seroquel for several years and I have not felt a difference in my symptoms, but it does seem to make some difference.
